Owens Murphy Volkswagen

Owens Murphy VW, situated in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a Volkswagen dealership that truly lives up to its tagline: "Funky. Fun. Easy. Honest." This mantra reflects their ethos, emphasizing a fun, breezy approach to business while maintaining lightheartedness and integrity.



Stream's creative team was approached to propose a fresh logo for Owens Murphy. Among the various iterations presented, my design was chosen for its nod to a 1970's "funky" aesthetic, complemented by bright and vivid colors that resonated with their branding. Although they appreciated the effort, Owens Murphy decided to retain their original logo. However, they incorporated the color refinements and finishing touches from my proposal into their current branding, enhancing the overall visual appeal of their creative assets.

We crafted a set of "Unique Selling Proposition" (USP) copy and accompanying creative assets tailored for Owens Murphy. The client believed that our offerings genuinely resonated with their brand identity. For their digital presence, we developed website sliders and display ads. These materials underwent a rigorous approval process to ensure compliance with both Volkswagen National and Amazon Marketing standards.






Owens Murphy's product suite has been enriched with the inclusion of tailored event collateral and direct mail campaigns, all infused with their distinctive cheerful, "groovy" design aesthetic that the client wholeheartedly embraces. This unique branding approach not only captures their essence but also resonates with their audience. While it may defy the conventional norms of automotive advertising, Owens Murphy's standout style offers them a clear competitive advantage, setting them miles apart from other auto dealerships and creating a memorable impression in the market.
